What is Stress?
Stress is experienced when there are demands on you, which threaten or exceed your coping responses and resources. In addition, the Neuro hormones released when you are greatly under stress weakens immunity, potentially damages cognitive ability, increases fatigue, depression, anger and opens the body to all types of infections. This makes way for a variety of diseases and thus a viscous circle begins.

Though the human body is equipped to deal with stress, if the stress response is activated too often, it can make you ill on the mental, emotional, behavioral and / or physical level .Thus seriously impairing the quality of your life .And mind you, when you strain your body everyday without any holistic rest, the risk of breakdown grows tenfold. Yet people do not realize how damaging stress can be, until it's too late!

Optimum wellness is achieved when the body, mind and emotions are in harmony which leads to a state of supreme freedom --NIRVANA. Hence, the name MetroNirvana, taking in to consideration nirvana for the metropolitan stressed person. However, for us nirvana is not a priority; coping with stress, and increasing productivity.

MetroNirvana introduces its participants to Restorative yoga and stretches which are gentle processes that requires very little movement and allow you to breathe fully and relax completely. Restorative yoga helps remove the strain and tiredness in the body and instill vigor and vitality in a person by clearing the mind and restoring energy levels. In fact the clinical precision of this yoga is extraordinary, yet this yoga is simple and can be done at workstations with ease. Our 8 week content has been structured and categorized so as to allow a beginner to progress surely and safely from basic postures to advance postures as they gain flexibility, strength and sensitivity in mind, body and spirit.

Breath is the bridge between body and emotions. By regulating the breath, you can shift from the state of being upset, fearful and angry to a calm, centered and balanced state. MetroNirvana's simple breathing exercises that can be practiced at the workstations, help in controlling workplace stress, fatigue-factors, distractions and irritations.

Our Transpersonal Group Counseling is designed to address specific problems like relationships, handling pressure among other stress inducing factors. Most groups include holistic education and skill-building as well as interaction with the other group members. Based on the corporate requirements and client needs we work out suitable topics and schedule these groups using transpersonal processes like guided visualizations, physical movement therapy, Psycho drama, and discussions, to obtain this objective.
 
Why go in for individual counseling?
Some extreme stressors like domestic violence, unsafe work or home environment, other negative experiences and relationship crises don't have easy solutions. Hence individual counseling in such cases helps tremendously. We assist our individual clients to transcend their unhealthy and stressful lifestyle and get on with the adventure of a happy and fulfilling life.
 
What is the duration of each program?
The duration of each PowerJuventation session is between 60 minutes and 3 hours. Each session offers a combination of eastern-western, mind-body-soul therapies that can be customized to the clients’ needs.

The programs are conducted preferably in the company premises or an off-site location.
